Natalie and Tim //Anniversary//

Last year Matthew and I had the pleasure of capturing this wonderful couple’s wedding day. Natalie and Tim have to be one of our all time favorite couples; they are just plain adorable, so when Nat emailed and asked if we would be willing to go to PEI and take romantic photos to celebrate a year of their marriage…of course our response was, “heck yes!”

Matt and I headed over to PEI on the first non-wedding weekend we have had since May. We got to spend the morning with an adorable little munch-kin named James and snap some photos of him….which we will be blogging soon. Then, as Matt and I made our way to O’Leary for Nat and Tim’s shoot, the landscape of the island astounded us again.

The rolling green of harvested fields gave way to red cliffs as a horizon of water reflected the last light of a summer sun. As we drove, I was lulled to sleep taking in this scenery, with Matt’s hand on my knee, I drifted in and out of lucidity as he kept his eyes on the road and listened to CBC. This day was precious for us. It was our snuck-vacation during our busy season…sure we were on the job, but we were away from computer screens, editing, emails, and the pressure of running our incredible little business. We were doing what we loved….creating….interacting with kind, wonderful people in love and capturing another part of their life.

We were met by the beautiful couple, a beautiful sky, and we just had an amazing evening shooting casual and formal shots for them.

The lovely Natalie was so sweet she even made us amazing (I am talking to-die-for)  chocolate covered strawberries…How sweet is she?

So, without further adieu, I am going to show you some of the stunning images that came out of this day!

I’ve been following your blog for a while after seeing the grad photos you did for some friends at ABU, but I think that these might be my favorite pictures so far… Natalie and Tim look gorgeous, but it’s the island scenery that has me in awe right now. I’m from PEI but I’m studying in London, ON right now and seeing the cliffs and ocean like that has made my day! Thanks for a little taste of home!
