I was nervous about this wedding. Nervous that I would talk too much and laugh too loud. Nervous because it was our first wedding of the season, and because the couple lived this fabulous L.A. life: the bride a Canadian actress and her groom a talented writer and singer. Then I met her and was instantly put at ease by her warmness. Anna came into the room all smiles; in her oversized plaid shirt and her comfy Ugg boots, she found a spot on the floor to eat the yummy lunch her Mum had prepared, and talked and laughed with her girl friends. After meeting Seth, who was equally as charming, I couldn’t wait for the rest of this day to unfold.
Anna and Seth opted to see each other before the ceremony, and I was so glad they did.
Seth handsomely stood in a sunlit corridor and waited, a smile of anticipation played on his lips. It was perfect. Anna walked towards him, her smile growing, the silence reaching a crescendo, she touched his shoulder, he turned to her and with glistening eyes, a shared kiss and whispered compliments they began their perfect day – together.
Anna and Seth, your ceremony was beautiful, your reception incredible! From the dancing of the Hora to the thoughtful speeches, Seth your song (I have no words), everything was perfect! Thank you for sharing this part of your story with us, it was an honor!
A big thank you as well to Philip Boudreau for being our third shooter for this wedding; you were a great extension of our team, and we couldn’t have asked for better help. Check out Philip’s work at http://www.philipboudreau.com/. We used many of his shots for this post!
Philip captured the above first-look shots perfectly from his angle!
Another special thanks to Charlotte of C Jayne Events -you made the day run smoothly and were simply a joy www.charlottesabrinajayne.com
Sylvain from WEDS did a phenomenal job bringing Anna and Seth’s vision to life for their reception. The room was bathed in pale pink and purple hues, the touches of tulips added to the delicate decor as the scent of hyacinths furthered the spring theme. http://www.designedbysylvain.com/
Also, the live band at the reception “Pretty in Pink” totally rocked!!! So fun.http://www.facebook.com/pages/Pretty-In-Pink-That80sband/139389792760277?sk=info
