Matt+Chera = romantic and fun photography!

Matthew and I just celebrated 5 years of marriage and have been shooting weddings and portraits for over five years. We have this amazing connection in life where we just get each other and get moments that are meaningful to others. I could tell you more about us, but I'd rather show you some of our work! Thanks for stopping by!

It was a warm spring evening, a gentle wind washed over the mellow waves; it was the perfect night for Jeremy and Aviva’s engagement shoot.  We met at Aviva’s parents’ home and this paradisiacal spot made for an incredible evening.

Jeremy and Aviva are such a well matched pair, and we loved getting a chance to get to know them.  They had met at camp when they were seven years old.  They had lost touch for a number of years, but as fate would have it they both ended up in Toronto.  Jeremy was there setting up his business, and Aviva decided to settle near family after having travelled the globe for a number of years. Jeremy noticed on facebook that Aviva had moved to the city and decided to step out on a limb and ask her out; she (obviously) said yes and their modern romance began.

We are delighted to photograph their wedding this weekend; and we can’t wait to share more of Jeremy and Aviva’s pictures in another post!!

Gorgeous work. What a bunch of good looking people too!!
    Nice job!!

Joining Jessica for her getting ready wedding experience was fun; the house was full of family, hustling and bustling, excitement, laughter and many hugs!  We learned quickly that it was going to be a great day and if the boys were anywhere near as much fun as the bridesmaids – we were in for a treat (spoiler alert-they guys did not disappoint!)

Jessica and Richard shared a beautiful day with friends and family and even incorporated their love of cars.  We couldn’t have been happier to photograph their wedding, and we absolutely loved the luxurious amount of time they gave us for wedding portraits – I guess shooting the wedding of a photographer, and photographer’s daughter has its definite perks!!

Jessica and Richard – we wish you all the best, and we can’t wait for you to see the rest of your pictures, but until then enjoy your sneak peek!

With a little serendipity they began working at the same place.  He thought she was cute, and when the idea of a date came up neither of them objected.  Derick and Guylaine began to date and everything just seemed to fit, and we were lucky enough to celebrate their engagement through photographs!

On a beautiful sunny and very hot evening, we spent a couple of hours with the wonderful Guylaine and Derick. They were terribly sweet, incredibly in love, and Guylaine – you really know how to bring it (the last picture gets me every time)!!!  We can’t wait for your wedding (and Trash the Dress); thanks for an incredible shoot!!!!

When she looks at him she really sees him – not in a static way – but in a little smile in the corner of her mouth, “oh so happy to be together” kind of way.

Jillian and Jeff, thanks for being part of our photo adventure; no matter where we stopped or how many mosquito’s were around you two were amazing, and we couldn’t believe how fun and down to earth you are!  We simply can’t wait for tomorrow to come so we can photograph you exchanging rings and joining your lives together officially -see you soon!!

They are a team, organized, detailed and just plain cute!  Weeks before the wedding, we had in our hands a perfect spreadsheet of details, phone numbers and backup numbers, seating arrangements, a who’s who of the family members, a glimpse into the beautiful details of the day – they completed all the homework we could give and added a few pdf’s more, and we knew the day would be just perfect for them.  The weather forecast with its ominous black clouds and red thunderbolts couldn’t even affect the sweetness of this day, all the i’s were dotted and the t’s crossed – these two were happily joining their lives together rain or shine.

The morning of the wedding looked like it was leaning more towards rain, but after a brief and impressive downpour (enough for good luck), the sky cleared, and we had the most perfect day to celebrate with this fabulous couple and their oh-so-fun wedding party!

Mandy and Kirk, you two are just perfect for each other, and I knew you were just the couple for us when we did your engagement shoot.  You have an amazing connection that so easily translates in photos (and Kirk you have mad posing skills).  It was an honour to spend the day with you – here is just a little taste of what’s to come …. I guess you could say we got one or two good ones : )
