Matt+Chera = romantic and fun photography!

Matthew and I just celebrated 5 years of marriage and have been shooting weddings and portraits for over five years. We have this amazing connection in life where we just get each other and get moments that are meaningful to others. I could tell you more about us, but I'd rather show you some of our work! Thanks for stopping by!

These two love birds drove all the way from Ontario this week, and had time to squeeze in an engagement shoot with us before their wedding tomorrow!  We couldn’t be happier to have spent a stress free evening shooting their photos in the very place they fell in love.  We got to visit their first date spot, Mel’s, where they enjoyed many subsequent dates, the football field (where Emily has been attending games her whole life – even in utero, and Kirby has played more than a few times).

It was great getting to know you and learning some “fun facts” about the campus.  Emily and Kirby, you two are so much fun, and I can’t wait – just one more sleep till your wedding!!!

Could you be any prettier, Emily? I love the pictures so much. Can’t wait to see the wedding pics. Loved being a part of your big day. xo PS Kirby, I think you are pretty cute too.

We walked in the room and Jill was radiant.  All of her t’s were crossed and i’s dotted, and she was simply basking in the excitement of her day.  She and her beautiful girls donned their matching robes and were a delight that morning.  Jill knew she had nothing to worry about, she had the perfect day and was marrying the most perfect man for her!  As she dressed, she had all of her special girls around her smiling and helping, and when her mother caught a glimpse of her, perfectly made up, she began to cry happy knowing tears. Knowing tears, because Jeff and Jill had been together since they were teenagers, knowing tears because they both make each other so incredibly happy, and knowing tears because today Jill would walk down the aisle and stand beside a good man and promise to stay by his side through life.

The sun was high, and the sky and water a beautiful shade of blue the perfect contrast for the little white tent that held all of Jeff and Jill’s most precious friends and family.  As Jill walked towards Jeff his smile grew and the corner of his kind eyes crinkled, that smile stayed the entire day.

Jeff and Jill, you two are so sweet and your day was just perfect (and not just because you followed our wedding guide perfectly, hee hee : )  You made our job so easy by simply being in the moment and loving each other so entirely!  We are lucky to have met you and photograph your day – thank you!!

Absolutely Beautiful Jill & Jeff….CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU BOTH!!!!

They drove to the beach with their two puppies; this evening would be the last time for a while that they would walk the New Brunswick sand together.  They were moving back to Toronto but wanted to hold this place in their heart and remember it with photos – remember where an integral part of their story together took place.  This is the province with the quaint Fruit de Mer restaurant where Nick nervously proposed, so after all the travels, beginning in England and taking them on many other adventures around the globe, this little part of the world held that moment and that memory of  her saying yes.

Barbara and Nick, we are so happy to have spent a beautiful evening in the sun capturing part of your life together! We wish you all the best with the move and the wedding planning : )

    quite deece

I am so excited about this couple and their wedding.  I knew from the second I got Cyn’s first email that she was my kind of bride; it may have been her email’s perky tone or her endearing overuse of exclamation marks, but whatever it was she had me at hello!!!!  These two are incredibly in love, and the way Christian smiles and looks Cynthia confirms my suspicion – they are mad for each other!

Not even bad weather and dying light could hamper this love shoot; these two rocked it!  The rain was a great excuse to go inside and do a few pool table shots as a salute to the first time they met.

All in all it was a fabulous night, and I can’t wait for the wedding day!

Shout out to our mentor -Tony Hoffer for inspiring this shot!

These pictures are amazing! Cyn, you look like a supermodel! I guess Christian looks OK too ;). I love that they captured such genuine smiles from two people who ordinarily shy away from the camera.

Amazing pictures! I love them all. Well done!! I’m so happy for you two. :)

It was a warm spring evening, a gentle wind washed over the mellow waves; it was the perfect night for Jeremy and Aviva’s engagement shoot.  We met at Aviva’s parents’ home and this paradisiacal spot made for an incredible evening.

Jeremy and Aviva are such a well matched pair, and we loved getting a chance to get to know them.  They had met at camp when they were seven years old.  They had lost touch for a number of years, but as fate would have it they both ended up in Toronto.  Jeremy was there setting up his business, and Aviva decided to settle near family after having travelled the globe for a number of years. Jeremy noticed on facebook that Aviva had moved to the city and decided to step out on a limb and ask her out; she (obviously) said yes and their modern romance began.

We are delighted to photograph their wedding this weekend; and we can’t wait to share more of Jeremy and Aviva’s pictures in another post!!
