An amazing aspect of Melanie and Jetty’s day was how very calm they were the morning before their ceremony; there were seemingly no nerves or butterflies to be had. There was just tons of excitement and anticipation as they prepared to promise their hearts to one another.
Their wedding day held bubbly smiles, breathtaking moments, and beautiful details. I don’t know how I could communicate all of the lovely things that we got to be a part of that day. I could tell you about the lovely accessories Melanie wore to remember her grandmothers. I could tell you about the thoughtful groomsman who noticed that my preggo self had gotten stuck lying on the ground for a shot and offered to help me up; I could tell you about Melanie’s Aunt who sings the song “My Best to You” to all of the couples who get married in her family (and who, after singing to the bride and groom at the reception, found Matthew and I and held us and sang the same song for us). I could tell you about all that, but I think I would rather focus on the bride and groom.
Jetty is a subtle romantic. He showed it in the way he looked with quiet pride at his beautiful wife. He also showed it in the way he held her. Melanie is not as subtle, she unabashedly loves Jetty and when he is around she can hardly contain her smile.
The way they interacted was perfect, and they were simply a delight to photograph.
Jetty and Melanie, thank you for sharing your splendid day with us; we felt blessed to be a part of it!
