I was so excited to photograph Marcel and Josée’s beautiful wedding day! We met this fun duo under the palms near the swim up bar in Punta Cana while photographing their friends Milene and Randy’s A-mazing destination wedding (see images here!). But back to Josée and Marcel! These two are snuggly, sweet, super connected and obviously in love, and the chance to photograph their special day made me giddy : )
As we were driving to their getting ready spot, the large, ominous clouds loomed overhead and “grey” seemed to best describe the sky instead of the imagined sunshine and blue skies we’d been crossing our fingers for. However, upon arriving it was apparent that the weather hadn’t dampened anyone’s spirit; there were still tons of smiles, happy tears and excitement. As the day progressed it was so obvious we didn’t need perfect weather for this to be the perfect day – Josée and Marcel had eyes only for each other, and their smiles couldn’t be any bigger. They had a fairytale theme, and their day didn’t disappoint; in fact the weather even added a dramatic and epic element to this romantic day!!
