Our day began with Celeste and her girls in a bright and cheerful sunroom; there were smiles and stories and yummy treats as the girls were “made up”. Celeste smiled along with her friends, and every once in a while I could see a hint of butterflies in her stomach as she thought about her perfect day. These nervous butterflies kind of fit with her beautifully coordinated wedding of deep purples, subtle greens and tasteful butterfly theme. She had a lovely sunny day for her outdoor ceremony, and she and her dad exchanged smiles and tears as they walked to meet Brody. Brodie grinned and watched as she walked down the aisle; and he forgot his nervousness for that split second when he first saw his bride.
We were lucky enough to be able to use Celeste’s mother’s beautiful home for pictures; it provided a stunning background and perfect shelter from the wind. After photographing a too-fun bridal party, we got to our favorite part of the day – the couple shots.
I love the calm that comes during this time of the wedding day; before this time there is rushing to appointments, nervousness and anticipation, details to be tended to; and after this time there are speeches to say, dances to dance and guests to catch up with; but for this sliver of the wedding day, the couple just gets to enjoy one another, to share smiles, kisses and quiet moments.
Celeste and Brodie, your day was beautiful from start to finish; thanks for sharing it with us!
We were really happy with our new assistant Krystle who helped us out during the day and captured these lovely candids of some of the wedding party.
