Matt+Chera = romantic and fun photography!

Matthew and I just celebrated 5 years of marriage and have been shooting weddings and portraits for over five years. We have this amazing connection in life where we just get each other and get moments that are meaningful to others. I could tell you more about us, but I'd rather show you some of our work! Thanks for stopping by!

The day of Danielle and Mark’s engagement session was beautiful; the sun was shining, there were soft, white cumulous clouds against a robin’s-egg sky.   Then a quarter of an hour before we were scheduled to start shooting, raindrops stippled our windshield and the pavement in front of our car as we drove to the first location.  It continued to pour as we met up with Danielle and Mark, and with umbrella in hand and smiles still in place, we began.  I am so glad we didn’t reschedule due to weather because the rain cleared up and the soft lighting that followed combined with this beautiful couple made for a perfect evening and elegant images.

Danielle and Mark we are so excited for your wedding – rain or shine we know your wedding will be perfect!

Jennifer+Paul //engaged//

Well really it’s Jennifer + Paul married, we just couldn’t help but share their engagement session photos first.

Paul and Jennifer, simply put, adore each other. Their’s is that kind of love that can’t hold back a smile, can’t help but hold your hand; a “can’t wait to kiss you” kind of love.

Jennifer and Paul, being around you makes me as happy as I am at the end of a good chick flick. You could make even the most cynical believe in happily ever after.

They’re ok i guess…… Just kidding. We love them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ( Jennifer made me put the exclamation marks).

Will be a tough choice as to which one to get printed.

In love with them!!!! I’m trying to think of places to put all these photos now, especially knowing the wedding day ones are yet to come! You guys are magic. Thank you :)

I love the last one where Jennifer is laughing right out. So natural and fun looking. Blessings to both.

Dan stood nervously at the front of the room, adjusting his jacket and glancing to the back.  A guest noticed Dan’s nerves and said, “how ya doing?” he replied, “I can’t wait.”  The man asked “to get it over with?” and Dan smiled and quietly said, ” to see her.”  On their wedding day, Sarah and Dan didn’t rush, they took time to really see each other, and to hold tight to the fact that they were each marrying their best friend.

Dan and Sarah, your day was so beautiful, from the sunshine to the incredible job Unico Decor did transforming your ceremony and reception venue.  I loved all of the details, from the feathers and bling to the sketch artist you had to entertain your guests, the popcorn maker, and the beyond-decadent dessert table that your mom lavishly baked, including the family recipes beside each sweet.  You, your family and friends were warm and inviting, and your wedding was a perfect celebration of the two of you.  May you live to be as happy and in love as Dan’s dancing grandparents!!!

Ohhh myyy! What a beautiful couple, a beautiful wedding, with beautiful pictures! Congratulations!!

Mya - January 10, 2012 - 10:17 am

Beautiful photos as usual! Do you have any idea where they found the sketch artist? And if not is there anyway I could get their contact information? I have always loved this idea and was hoping to be able to find someone in the area who could do it for our wedding. Thanks!

Sarah Landry - January 11, 2012 - 7:57 am

Hi Mya, the caricature artists’ name was Marc Little, and his email is :) He did an excellent job and he was a hit with the guests at the wedding!

Thanks Sarah!

Cindy is kind, glamorous, and pays amazing attention to fine details. Martin is quiet and patient and has a charming smile that comes so easily.  Cindy and Martin opted to see each other before their ceremony to allow for lots of photo time.  My favorite moment of the day was watching Martin as he waited for his bride.  She walked through a field  towards Martin, a smile played on his lips then moved to his eyes. She tapped on his shoulder; he turned to her, and it was beautiful to see them hug and share a special moment – just the two of them.  After they had time to whisper, kiss, and have a few more hugs, we set out to take some beautiful images.

Cindy and Martin, we had a wonderful time capturing your day!  In fact, we had such a wonderful time that we just couldn’t wait to photograph your aftershoot/trash the dress session. We knew the night of that shoot that you two did an awesome job, but our jaws dropped after seeing your images on the computer screen! Enjoy, your wedding day sneak peek and a sneak peek to your trash the dress shoot.

WOW!!!! The pictures are amazing!!! I especially like the 2 last shots! I wish I could get married all over again to take more photos like that!

I am sure as Katie planned her exquisitely  elegant day she did not picture the large thunder clouds that became one of her wedding details along with her Christos designer gown and Capparros shoes.

The clouds gathered in the early afternoon offering a texture and colour to Katie’s bridal photos,  as the piper announced her arrival at the ceremony, a deep blue tinge joined the clouds. After Andrew and Katie’s promises and vows were sealed with a kiss, their guests met them outside for congratulations and embraces, and that is when the drops began to fall. The rain then rhythmically tapped its fingers on the roof of the veranda as Andrew and Katie shared their first moments embracing as husband and wife.

Andrew and Katie, you handled the weather with grace, and I think it added a celtic feel and sublime romance to your day. I hope that every time you hear a thunderclap you will snuggle a little closer and remember a perfect and raindrop-plentiful day.
