Matt+Chera = romantic and fun photography!

Matthew and I just celebrated 5 years of marriage and have been shooting weddings and portraits for over five years. We have this amazing connection in life where we just get each other and get moments that are meaningful to others. I could tell you more about us, but I'd rather show you some of our work! Thanks for stopping by!

Under the latticed arbour, he knelt in the snow with a little opened box, waiting for the plan to work. With the help of friends and family, Kai had figured out a way to hide the fact that he had flown across the world, been driven to her house, and was kneeling in a Canadian winter, waiting for Hannah to buy the excuse her mother had sold in order for her to open the back door and to find  him kneeling there.  After a slight delay, she did find him, and Kai said the words she had been waiting to hear,  but seeing him in Canada, in the snow made her freeze. She could hardly process that he was in Canada and not Malaysia, let alone realize he was asking her to be his wife.  His knee sunk into the snow a little more as her smile grew with his, and he breathed a sigh of relief when she wordlessly put the ring on her finger – the plan was a success.

Almost a year later, Hannah readied to say yes to Kai again in front of friends and family and make the promise that no matter what, and no matter where, they would go through life together.

The beaded bodice of her dress was stunning, her hair piece perfect, the atmosphere in the room as the girls got ready was happy and calm.  When seeing the rain outside the window, Hannah joked and said that a protest and water cannons had threatened her Malaysian wedding plans, a bit of rain was nothing on her Canadian wedding day.   That same attitude and smile held, nothing could hinder her or Kai’s happiness on this day.

Hannah and Kai, it was a joy to spend the day with you and your families.  You two are perfect together, and I can’t wait for you to see all of your wedding images!!

Renée+Pierre//engagement Part III

We are so excited to share part three of Renée and Pierre’s engagement session with you (and there is still more to come).

I also want to take time to wish Renée a fabulous birthday.  Renée, it has been a pleasure to work with you, and let me just say that you are stunning inside and out!

Wowzers, does this couple ever have stupendous style!

Renee has more style and glamor in one of these photos than I have had in all of my life combined. Jeepers haha.

Renée+Pierre//engaged-Part II

Here is the next instalment of Pierre and Renée’s engagement shoot.  I love how their looks and their love have an old hollywood movie feel.

I LOVE your photos! BEATYFUL!!!!

Renée and Pierre leave me speechless. I could talk about how they should be models, how they can pull off so many styles and looks, how incredible their vision for their engagements shoots was.  But I would rather leave you with these images that just capture a little taste of their amazing love story. Renée and Pierre, I get butterflies just thinking about how beautiful your wedding day is going to be – I can’t wait!!

It’s like they see only each other – not in a negative, conceited way – but in a sweet, loving, unbearably romantic way.

When Jen walked to Paul and finally stood beside him at the altar, he held up her hands to his lips and kissed them.  As their guests crowded around them and toasts were given, they would squeeze hands, kiss, hold, and encourage one another.  Wordless gestures and warm embraces showed everyone around them that, to Jen, Paul is her world and that Paul feels the same way about her.

Jennifer and Paul, I don’t think your wedding could have been more stunning.  You made a backyard wedding feel like a destination wedding! Thank you for including us in your day; you weren’t kidding when you told us we were part of your bridal party – we felt so included.  Your love and warmth are to be commended; never change!

Also, a huge thank you goes to my little (grown up) cousin Meleena who assisted us on this special occasion.  Meleena you were mature, beyond helpful, intuitive and creative – you amazed me!!

You guys did such a fantastic job. Thank you for being such a fun and wonderful part of our day and for giving us such beautiful photos to remember it all by. I cannot wait to see the rest because these are spectacular!

Wow. I was one of Jen and Paul’s bridesmaids, you captured the detail and all the thought and elegant touches perfectly. These are stunning, I’ve only been with my boyfriend for 3 months but I know he’s the one. I also know you guys are the ones….I’ll be in touch ;)
