Matt+Chera = romantic and fun photography!

Matthew and I just celebrated 5 years of marriage and have been shooting weddings and portraits for over five years. We have this amazing connection in life where we just get each other and get moments that are meaningful to others. I could tell you more about us, but I'd rather show you some of our work! Thanks for stopping by!

They met years before… summers before. They were Robbie and Becky the lifeguards. I can picture teenage them sitting by the pool, toes dipped in the sun-sparkled water, his comments amusing her, making her throw her blonde curls back with the fullness of the laugh that he can so easily coax from her.    When Robbie first started dating Becky, he asked his sister what she thought of Becky; she of course said that she loved her, and he said, “good, because she is my girl”.  On a warm and perfect fall day, Robbie married his girl. Laughter, tears and hugs were not in short supply. And after the rings and kiss were exchanged, they were walking to have their photos taken when Becky laughed and said, “that was so much fun; I would totally do it again!”

Becky and Robbie you are our ideal clients, so happy and in love!! I couldn’t wait to blog you; the whole time we were away on business, I was dying to get home and share these images.  A huge thanks also goes to your Mom and wedding team who were more than amazing to work with and who look “hella” fab in jewel tones!  I can’t wait for you to see the rest of your images, I just know you will love them as much as I do!

Where were you guys when I got married?? These are spectacular!

Chrissy - December 16, 2011 - 2:28 pm

You managed to capture the inner beauty of Becky! Her joy shines out from each image!

Danielle + Dwight //married//

I can just picture a six year old Danielle sitting primly in the pew, with a pouffy pink dress, fancy socks with ruffles and white shoes, a sweet little smile and her hands folded in her lap, just as easily I can picture Dwight climbing under and over the same pew, running down the aisle a little too fast, all the while a huge goofy grin adorning his face.  You see Danielle and Dwight have known each other their whole lives, they lived in the same town, went to the same school, have been together since high school, and on a rainy October day they made a promise in front of friends and family in the same church where they used to attend as little ones.

Danielle and Dwight, the love and joy you two share is undeniable, not even rain could dampen your smiles.  We wish you all the best in your new chapter of life together, and we can’t wait for you to see the rest of your images. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for letting us be a part of your day!

She is charming and breathtakingly beautiful; he smiles easily and loves to make her happy. No matter what look, era, or styling of the photos, their love, respect and adoration for each other can’t help but show through.

These are GORGEOUS …. wow, amazing work – beautiful!

Under the latticed arbour, he knelt in the snow with a little opened box, waiting for the plan to work. With the help of friends and family, Kai had figured out a way to hide the fact that he had flown across the world, been driven to her house, and was kneeling in a Canadian winter, waiting for Hannah to buy the excuse her mother had sold in order for her to open the back door and to find  him kneeling there.  After a slight delay, she did find him, and Kai said the words she had been waiting to hear,  but seeing him in Canada, in the snow made her freeze. She could hardly process that he was in Canada and not Malaysia, let alone realize he was asking her to be his wife.  His knee sunk into the snow a little more as her smile grew with his, and he breathed a sigh of relief when she wordlessly put the ring on her finger – the plan was a success.

Almost a year later, Hannah readied to say yes to Kai again in front of friends and family and make the promise that no matter what, and no matter where, they would go through life together.

The beaded bodice of her dress was stunning, her hair piece perfect, the atmosphere in the room as the girls got ready was happy and calm.  When seeing the rain outside the window, Hannah joked and said that a protest and water cannons had threatened her Malaysian wedding plans, a bit of rain was nothing on her Canadian wedding day.   That same attitude and smile held, nothing could hinder her or Kai’s happiness on this day.

Hannah and Kai, it was a joy to spend the day with you and your families.  You two are perfect together, and I can’t wait for you to see all of your wedding images!!
